Lalat brings 34 years of technical experience in areas of structured finance, product development, performance analytics, and sophisticated insurance structures. He has spent the last 26 years collaborating with financial, tax and legal advisors of ultra-high net worth families, their businesses, and family offices in order to critically evaluate, develop, and administer high impact insurance and estate planning solutions.

Lalat is a co-founder of the consulting firm PH Robb Legacy Alliance. The firm is recognized as an independent resource to the legal and CPA communities as well as a number of major banks and trust companies with regards to complex insurance matters. Lalat is also the founder Apheta, a tax and insurance analytics firm for family offices and the professional community. Apheta is a part of the PH Robb Legacy Alliance.

Apheta and its predecessor companies have developed unique proprietary platforms which assist HNW business owners with the tax hurdles associated with tax diversification, business succession, and intergenerational wealth transfer. Lalat draws on his early career training with two visible global institutions—Goldman Sachs Asset Management and, subsequently, Northern Trust Company (Structured Equity Group / Private Client Group). These organizations provided a glimpse into psychology as well as the multi-disciplinary expertise needed to address the planning needs of domestic and international UHNW families.

Lalat has a BA in Financial and International Economics, as well as an MBA in Finance, both from University of Michigan. Lalat has served on the product development boards of numerous global insurers, and has spoken widely at insurance industry and tax conferences including developing Continuing Education programs for tax attorneys and CPAs. Outside of work, Lalat is involved with a number of charitable organizations including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Concern Foundation and he serves on the Board of Private School AXIS. Lalat & his family reside in Los Angeles.
