Since his retirement from the Los Angeles Superior Court in May of 2001, Judge Gold has been active as a private judge (acting as judge pro tempore, referee, arbitrator and mediator) through Alternative Resolution Centers in Los Angeles. Judge Gold was selected by the Los Angeles Daily Journal four years in a row as one of California’s Top Neutrals and thereafter as one of the Daily Journal’s ““Masters of Mediation.”

Judge Gold continues to lecture frequently to lawyers and judges on probate and trust law and to write extensively on that subject.
