Edward J. McCaffery is the Robert C. Packard Trustee Chair in Law and Professor of Law, Political Science, and Economics at the University of Southern California Law School, and Visiting Professor of Law & Economics at the California Institute of Technology.

Mr. McCaffery is a nationally renowned speaker and author of several books, including Fair Not Flat: How To Make the Tax System Better and Simpler (U. Chicago Press, 2002 and 2006 (paperback). Professor McCaffery is frequently consulted by politicians and others about income and estate tax reform, and was a featured author in a recent Wall St. Journal Special Report on the future of the estate tax.
