Doug Mancino is a partner in the Corporate Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. For more than 44 years he has represented all types of nonprofit organizations on tax, business, and financial matters. He has extensive experience in federal audits, appeals and state and local income and property tax controversies. He has litigated several cases in the U.S. Tax Court and has handled appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits.

Mr. Mancino has co-authored five books and treatises, including Taxation of Exempt Organizations (Warren Gorham & Lamont 2018). He has also co-authored more than 100 articles concerning tax-exempt organizations and health care issues. He is a former President of the American Health Lawyers Association and served as Chair of the Exempt Organizations Committee and Vice Chair Publications of the ABA’s Tax Section, and Editor-in-Chief of The Tax Lawyer. Mr. Mancino is a frequent lecturer/speaker on many legal, tax and health care subjects. He enjoys a national reputation as one of the country’s top health care and tax-exempt organization lawyers.

Mr. Mancino is active in many civic and charitable activities. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman Emeritus of the Children’s Burn Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Irvine Health Foundation, and a member of the Boards of Advisors of The Center on Philanthropy & Public Policy, affiliated with the University of Southern California, and The National Center for Philanthropy and the Law, affiliated with the N.Y.U. School of Law.
