AMY L. TAKAHASHI, CPA, JD, LLM in Tax is the owner of Legacy Tax Group and has practiced trust and estate taxation, individual and business tax, payroll, and court accountings for over 24 years. Amy taught various tax and accounting courses as an instructor at the University of Hawaii. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary Ann Cohen at the US Tax Court in Washington, D.C. and to the Honorable Robert Faris at the US Bankruptcy Court in Honolulu, HI. Amy received her LLM in Tax and a Certificate in Employee Benefits Law from Georgetown University Law Center (honors with distinction) and graduated from William S Richardson School of Law (magna cum laude). Amy volunteers her talents to support charitable causes. Amy previously worked for Deloitte and Touche LLP in both audit and tax. Amy enjoys reading, traveling, and excursions with her children.
